The letter below was mailed to all BLA parents/guardians last month. If you have already paid your dues, thank you! If you didn’t have the chance, it is never too late. Simply copy the form below (or email me for the form in .html or .doc format) and mail your dues to the address below.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Did you know that our students work in severely outdated chemistry labs? our foreign language lab is a relic? our girls’ soccer team has to share shabby uniforms? Are you aware that many of our classrooms don’t have a working clock, a functioning PA system, a telephone? Have you tried to contact a teacher and found that there is no voicemail or reliable e-mail?
Our headmaster does not have enough money in the budget to address these basic needs and many more. And because our students excel, Boston Latin Academy is unlikely to get sympathy money from the BPS. So it is up to us as parents to help fill the funding gap.
As we have in the past, we are requesting that each BLA family show their commitment to our kids and their school by paying their yearly BLA Booster Club dues. Dues are $25 per family---that’s only 70 cents a week---and all of the money benefits BLA kids. Please do your part by filling out the form below and sending it with your check. Thank you so much.
