Dear Parents,
Following is a Wish List submitted to the SPC/Booster Club by Headmaster Garcia-Aaronson. If you can grant any of these wishes or can contact someone (a company, a college, an alum, etc.) that is willing to donate an item (or money toward an item), please let us know by e-mail. (We can also send you a .pdf with more specifics.)
Our kids have several productions in the works that would be greatly enhanced by these items. The sooner we can grant these wishes, the better! Thanks for your help

Department Parents’ Booster Club Proposal: “Lights, Cameras, Action Fund”
The following estimated funding request would benefit all three Latin Academy Arts programs (Theater, Art, Music) and enhance the functionality of Carroll Hall for all departments. Note that some items may be purchased at a lower cost.
“Lights”
Elation DMX Lighting System ($600 plus shipping and handling) Many thanks to Leslie Cook, parent of Kerry Malloy class of ‘06, for donating this item.
This portable lighting system with dimmer controls would greatly enhance Carroll Hall productions, events, lectures, etc. In the past lighting systems have been rented frequently for events at great expense to departments, clubs, etc
“Cameras”
Sony HDR-HC7 Digital Video Camcorder (900.00 plus shipping and handling) Many thanks to the parents of the BLA Booster Club for donating this item.
Sony Cybershot Digital Camera DSC-W90 (250.00 plus shipping and handling) Many thanks to Cheryl Brown-Greene, parent of Karen Greene class of ‘08, for donating this item.
These high quality cameras would enable teachers and students to record programs and events; share recordings with the Latin Academy community and provide examples of student products
“Action”
Superscope PSD340 Portable Dual CD Player/recorder ($1000.00 plus shipping and handling) Many thanks to the parents of the BLA Booster Club for donating this item.
This CD player/recorder can record and enhance live events with high quality audio sound in Carroll Hall. It can make copies of recordings and enable students to create customized accompaniments for productions
Annual script rental fee ($1,500) Many thanks to the parents of the BLA Booster Club for funding this item.
This is an annual payment required for the use of musical production scripts. All three Arts areas will be involved with these productions.
Props, guest artist, production fund ($2,000) This item has not yet been donated.
Arts Department personnel could access this fund. It will help cover numerous incremental costs and fund guest artist/clinician appearances
