Hello Parents and Students:

This is a reminder that the Junior Parent and Student College Planning Workshop will take place this Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the library.  Several graduates from the Class of 2004 and 2005 will join us to share their experiences.  All students and parents are encouraged to attend.

Guidance Counselors met with groups of juniors during their precalculus classes on Monday.  These workshops will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday.  If your child did not participate in the workshop, please have him/her seek out his/her guidance counselor.  Last names A-G Mr. Wong, H-O Ms. James Green, P-Z Ms. Weddleton.

The registration for the Kaplan Test Prep Program has been extended until Thursday, 1/12, only for the Monday or Wednesday sessions.  This is to prepare for the May exam.  Please submit your registration forms and checks to Mr. Wong in the guidance office.

Also, on Wednesday or Thursday, 1/18 and 1/19, volunteers from IBM will be conducting mock interview workshops with juniors.  This is a great opportunity to hear from professionals about how to present yourself successfully in the business world. 

In addition, students who do well may be invited to participate in Job Shadow Day organized by the Boston Private Industry Council.  Ms. Nicole Mitchell is our PIC Career Specialist.  Any students interested in Job Shadow Day and other summer internships should stop by and see her in room 110.  The first step is to do well at the Mock Interview Workshops with the IBM volunteers.
