The World Languages Department is sponsoring a Dollar Days fundraiser to raise money for the Language Lab. Kudos to teacher Karen Haller Beer for spearheading the fundraiser. Here’s her explanation of how it works:

We’re going to have a “Dollar Days” fundraiser in the hopes that we can collect a couple thousand dollars by asking students for just $1.00 per week. We are going to be collecting each Friday beginning 5/16 and finishing 6/6. Students will be asked in homeroom to contribute $1 each. (More is great, but we’ll only ask for $1.) If we were able to get 60% return, we would still raise about $6,000 in 4 weeks. The winning homeroom (highest dollar amount) will be treated to a pizza party in the courtyard.

On Friday, May 16, students donated $498. Please send your child to school this Friday with $1 (or more) to contribute to the fundraiser and help his/her homeroom win a pizza party! Thanks.
