For parents of students in 9th Grade (and up), I would like to host a Parent Talk at our house in
Roslindale regarding alcohol and drug use by teenagers. A community liaison member will give the presentation and initiate discussion about how to guide our kids as they move into their older teen years and begin to develop habits.
I’d like to get from five to eight parents (more might be difficult in our house since we don’t have a very large living room) to attend and set up this “Parent Talk/Meeting” before the last week of June. Please let me know if you are interested in attending and give me some tentative dates for an evening meeting (approximately 7-9p.m.).
It’s possible the Parent Council (which usually meets on first Wednesdays at BLA) will host a presentation like this in the fall (if the next couple of weeks is not convenient for you).
