Assistant Headmaster Emilia Pastor would like to start getting parents to join the google groups that have been created for each class. If you sign up, you will receive the same e-mails sent to your student and his/her class. It is an excellent way to keep informed.

To sign up to receive these e-mails, click on the link to your student’s class (see the links below) and follow the directions to join the group. (If you have difficulty signing up, ask your student for help.)

Once you become a member, you can change your e-mail setting to “Digest e-mail” if you want to receive one weekly e-mail that includes all of the e-mails sent that week or to “no e-mail” if you prefer to go to the website to read the e-mail.

Ms. Pastor says that she likes using google groups because when she wants to send a message to the whole class, all she has to remember is one email address (for example: ), and since no one sees anyone else’s email, users are not setting themselves up for spam.

Rising 7th and 8th grades also have homework calendars. You just have to go to google calendars and search for BLA 8th grade homework calendar and it will appear. Although the calendars won’t be functioning in full swing until the fall, they are all set up.
