Dear Parents and Guardians,

Just in case you haven’t heard, Emilia Pastor has been appointed our new interim headmaster. She is among several interim headmasters and principals appointed by BPS. Boston Latin Academy Emilia Pastor, Interim Headmaster
Emilia Pastor most recently served as assistant headmaster at Boston Latin Academy, where she oversaw all student support services and served as instructional and operations leader for the eighth grade cluster. Prior to this position, Ms. Pastor was the small learning community leader at Charlestown High School. She has teaching experience in the elementary, middle and high school levels. Ms. Pastor holds a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College and a master’s degree from Harvard University.

Although we have not received a written announcement from the BPS, Ms. Pastor announced her appointment to Latin Academy parents/guardians by telephone several weeks ago. She is very open to us and to our concerns. Please feel free to e-mail her at or call her at Latin Academy at 617-635-9957.
