Dear Latin Academy Families and Friends,
This year Boston Latin Academy needs your help more than ever before. Budget cuts have reduced our faculty and our enrollment is up. Our new Headmaster, Emilia Pastor, is doing her best to do more with less, but there are limits to what she and our faculty can do. It is clear that families and friends need to step up and contribute.
As we have in the past, we are asking parents, guardians and all of the friends of BLA to help by giving to the Boston Latin Academy Annual Fund. With the money you give, we plan to fund items on the Headmaster’s Wish List, including technology upgrades, teacher stipends and classroom equipment. What we will be able to fund will all depend on your generosity.
We realize that times are tough for all of us, but we are asking you to find it in your heart to help support our students and our school. Please give to the best of your ability and know that every gift is greatly appreciated. Fill out the form at the bottom of this letter and send it with your check or give online at http://www.blaparents.org. Your donation will make a difference.
Sincerely,
Board of The Friends of Boston Latin Academy
Christopher Carter (Robin ’11)
Marva Fairclough (Daniel ’09, Jason ’08)
Kathleen Kirleis (Kristian ’12, Anders ’15)
Yvonne Malcolm (Dorisonia ’11)
Connie Manzi (Robert ’12, Michael ’08)
P.S. Our children are getting an excellent, college-preparatory, exam-school education for free. Please do your part. A $25 gift costs only 14 cents a school day and it’s tax-deductible!
