Headmaster’s Wish-List 2009-2010
White boards ($500.00 each) - The goal is to install whiteboards in every classroom at BLA. To date, the Friends of BLA have funded $500 for materials.
Plaque for school with our US News and World Report status as a top high school ($116) - Gale Walton 800 548 3998 for US NEWS and World Report
Stamps ($1,650) - To send out mailings twice a year for Summer School warnings and orientation packets. To date, the Friends of BLA have funded $774.40 toward this item.
Licensing Rights for Musical ($1260.00) - The licensing rights to perform the annual musical through Music Theatre International. This year’s musical will be Little Shop of Horrors. The Friends of BLA have funded this item.
State Drama Competition - TBD
7th Grade Community Day ($400) - To purchase project materials and refreshments.
Shared Powerful Printer ($490) - For the teachers’ lounge so that teachers can print progress reports more often. The Friends of BLA have funded this item.
Computers for Hapgood Library ($6,000) - To replace non-working computers and allow more computer access to students.
Computer Locks and Hubs ($465.00) - 25 computer locks and three hubs. The Friends of BLA have funded this item.
Jane Eyre books for the English Department - The Friends of BLA have funded this item.
Repairs to Nikon D40 digital camera (metering is broken) ($165) owned by Dragon Tales staff - The Friends of BLA have funded this item.
Pay for 4 substitutes while teachers participate in Instructional Rounds - Per Diem Substitute Teachers: $124.47 per day
