Dear Parents,

On Thursday (4/8/10) Diego Alvarado, Operational Leader for High Schools, informed us that there are 3 candidates for Headmaster of Boston Latin Academy for SY2010-2011: Ms. Emilia C. Pastor, Ms. Andrea F. Somoza-Norton, and Mr. Ashoke Ghosh. On Friday, he scheduled candidate visits to BLA for Monday, April 12, Wednesday, April 14 and Friday, April 16. He said only one candidate will be visiting on any given day and he did not specify who would be coming when. (Although I will try to contact him to find out.) Parents are invited to meet the candidates on the above dates from 7 AM to 7:45 AM.

I apologize for the extremely short notice on this, but we need parents to come on one or more of the above dates to meet the candidates. If you can make the commitment, please e-mail me () or Michelle Baker () and let us know when you can come. Thanks for your help.

P.S. I have hard copies of the candidates’ resumes and I will give them to parents when they come to the meetings. I decided not to make resumes available on the Web for privacy reasons.
