Can you please tell me who is managing the bookstore this year? I’ve been working on Thursday mornings for the past several years, but didn’t receive a request to volunteer this year. Perhaps I missed it? I’m very happy to continue this year if you need me!

Connie, can you tell me what’s involved with the management of the bookstore? I know it’s important for the students to have the supplies available to them, especially in these first few months.  Perhaps I could share the commitment with another parent. Meantime, is the bookstore open? I can come in any morning next week.

I worked in the bookstore this morning and was surprised to hear that it had been open only one other time this year. Ms. Chiu has had to sell the BLA agendas to the students instead of the parent-run bookstore. Many students asked about the hours the bookstore is supposed to be open, so they definitely are looking for supplies. I’m going to buy locks this afternoon, since several students needed those this morning and I didn’t see any.

Can I please get some clarification about what’s happening with the store? It’s really important for the students and a good opportunity for parents to participate in a very easy way with BLA. It only takes about 45 minutes out of your day.

I’ll be in the store tomorrow morning, but I can’t be there every morning.
